How Does VODAVault Work?
Install a small VODAVault client software application on your computer to manage all of your data protection and restoration. After you easily identify what data you want to protect, VODAVault encrypts and compresses this data and then transfers a master copy to a VODAVault data center.
During the 10-minute setup you will be asked to choose a password and a passphrase. The password protects access to your account and the pass phrase protects your data. Your unique passphrase becomes part of your VODAVault encryption algorithm. Each time you change a file, VODAVault detects the change, encrypts and compresses the revision and sends it to a VODAVault data center to be stored with the master copy of your file. Unlike our competition, you determine what files and folders to backup and you can set different backup procedures on a file-by-file basis. VODAVault does not care if the file is located on your computer or somewhere else on your network. You just point and shoot and VODAVault does the rest.
Our easy-to-use system lets you decide how often to backup and how many previous versions of your data to keep. VODA Tip
In addition to Notebooks overheating, it should be noted that Desktop computers can overheat as well. Some computers have side vent holes in them that allow fresh air to be drawn directly into the processor to cool it. If your computer has these vents and you place it directly beside your desk, you are probably blocking the ventilation holes. Also, don't use your computer as a bookend to hold up files or books. This can lead to premature processor or mainboard failure. Some low end computers are actually insufficiently cooled. The manufacturers leave out additional cooling fans to cut cost. The computer will still work, but over time it will fail. Check to see if the top of your computer is warm. If it is, you might want to add an additional cooling fan.

Q: can I ensure that my PC is capable of running Windows 7 or if my new PC is eligible for a free Windows 7 upgrade?
A: Microsoft has released a beta (test) version of their Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. This is a software package that you can download from their website and, once installed on your PC, will notify you if your PC is capable of running Windows 7. The link to download the advisor can be found here. Once you run the advisor it will notify you if it found any issues with your systems capabilities to run Microsoft’s newest operating system. A Voda sales specialist can assist you in purchasing the correct version of Windows 7 for your needs once you have determined that your PC is capable of installing the new operating system.
